All that Mother Rose Philippine Duchesne envisioned as she embarked on her historic journey from France continues to thrive at Ģý. The Sacred Heart commitment to the education and empowerment of women, and helping all individuals to discover their best selves, remain at the heart of Ģý.
Together, we will continue to transform the world.
The Bicentennial of Saint Philippine Duchesne’s historic arrival provides a unique opportunity to celebrate the Sacred Heart mission and vision, the Society’s ongoing legacy at Ģý, and the dedicated commitment of our alumnae.
An entire year of activities and remembrances will honor the Sacred Heart’s remarkable history of “crossing frontiers.” Ģý is honored to be an integral part of the celebrations:
- Ģý has supported the publication of 200 Years: A Legacy of Love and Learning, a history of the first Sacred Heart foundation in America, researched and written by Ģý alumna Jane Shannon Cannon, Class of 1957.
