Grade Point Average (GPA)<\/h2>\n

Undergraduate Level (Years 1\u20133)<\/h3>\n

A student in the Physical Therapy Program must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 each semester<\/strong>. If a student’s semester GPA or cumulative GPA (after two semesters) falls below 2.5, but the student has met the course grade requirements in Section IV-E, the student will be placed on Physical Therapy Program Academic Probation the following semester.<\/p>\n

If the cumulative GPA is not 3.0 or higher by the end of Year 3<\/strong>, the student will enter the graduate level on probation.<\/p>\n

Graduate Level (Year 4 and Beyond)<\/h3>\n

Students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 each semester<\/strong>. If the semester GPA and\/or cumulative GPA falls below 3.0, but course grade requirements have been met, the student will be placed on Physical Therapy Program Academic Probation the following semester.<\/p>\n

A. Undergraduate Course Grades<\/h2>\n

Successful completion of all courses in the first three years of the Bachelor of Science in Health Science is required before entering the graduate phase of the program.<\/p>\n

Failure to complete these requirements before the beginning of the fourth year will result in removal from the Physical Therapy Program. Students may appeal for readmission (see Appeals Process, Section IV-J).<\/p>\n

Required Non-PHTH Undergraduate Courses<\/h3>\n

Although the university requires a minimum grade of C- (74%)<\/strong>, students in the Physical Therapy Program must earn a C or higher<\/strong> in all degree-specific undergraduate courses without a PHTH prefix, while also maintaining the required semester and cumulative GPA.<\/p>\n

a. Non-Sequential General Education Courses<\/h4>\n

Examples include HIST, ENG, PHL, SOSC, HUM, and PSYCH.<\/p>\n
