Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has announced a partnership with LaunchCode to offer qualified students and alumni a free coding class, and access to the LaunchCode apprenticeship program.<\/p>\n

LaunchCode, a nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Mo., provides in-demand education and creates technology career advancement opportunities. The 16-week course begins May 10, and will be held two evenings per week at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be the first university in the nation to offer this kind of career opportunity for our alumni is exciting,\u201d said James Page, director of alumni engagement. \u201cÄ¢¹½´«Ã½ graduates have contributed to the St. Louis economy for over a century, and with forward-thinking programs like this, they will continue to do so for years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n

LaunchCode connects talented individuals to companies with immediate hiring needs in the area of coding. \u201cWe\u2019re eager to work with educational institutions like Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ to give talented, hard-working individuals access to free, world-class programming education,\u201d said Brendan Lind, executive director. \u201cCoding provides a highly accessible pathway toward a career in technology. We look forward to supporting qualified Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ alumni as they begin this exciting journey.\u201d<\/p>\n
