Ä¢¹½´«Ã½, a regional leader in administrator preparation education, now offers an online EdD option for its successful\u00a0Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership<\/a>\u00a0program.\u00a0Designed to shape the future of collegiate leadership, the degree is available across the nation to qualifying individuals seeking a leadership doctorate on a flexible, 100 percent online platform.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs dean of the School of Education<\/a>, I am thrilled that we are now able to offer this unique doctorate program to students far beyond the St. Louis region,\u201d said Catherine Bear, EdD, dean of the School of Education. \u201cI am confident the outstanding faculty in our EdD in Higher Education program will challenge students\u2019 thinking and inspire them to achieve their goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

The doctorate program is ideal for students with the drive to promote strategic high-level decision-making specifically in the higher education environment. As part of the Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ suite of leadership-focused degrees, the online doctorate is now accepting students for the Fall 2016 semester.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe know from experience that through this unique doctoral program students develop new perspectives, skills, and a deeper understanding about leading higher education that directly contributes to their career success,\u201d said Susan Bartel, EdD, director of the Higher Education Leadership Program. \u201cWe are excited to be able to offer this cohort-based program in an online format to a broader market of leaders in higher education.\u201d<\/p>\n

With higher education impacted by a fluctuating economy, emerging technology, and the demands of preparing students for an evolving workforce, Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ saw the need to mold a new brand of leaders, prepared to answer today\u2019s higher education challenges by offering a higher education-specific degree. Today, Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ is dedicated to helping aspiring leaders develop their abilities and perspectives with a future-focused curriculum.<\/p>\n

The online doctorate program allows students to explore diverse pathways of collegiate leadership, gain hands-on experience with scholar-practitioner faculty, and learn to apply innovative strategies to lead institutional change. Students can benefit from smaller classes, more collaboration, faculty mentorship, and can choose whether to attend residency on-campus or virtually.<\/p>\n
